The 14-week AI‑Native Engineering Bootcamp
A full-time, hands-on final-year programme. You learn modern engineering by building real solutions with AI tools, AWS, DevOps, Kubernetes, Amazon Connect Customer and agentic customer-experience technology, then defend what you built.
- 14 weeks
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- ~420 hours
- Hands-on learning, about 6 productive hours a weekday
- 2 times a week
- Live sessions with U.S.‑based Lead Architects
- 5 people
- Your squad, with roles that rotate
- 4+ videos
- Technical videos you record and keep
Five phases, one capstone
Weeks 1–2
Foundational
Python, Git and GitHub, and engineering with AI tools: give AI context, plan, inspect the diff, verify, and stop agent loops.
Python · Git · ChatGPT · Codex · Cursor · Claude Code
Weeks 2–4
AWS
A guided walkthrough of the AWS ecosystem, then two hands-on AWS workshops: build, change the requirement, troubleshoot, defend.
IAM · Lambda · APIs · storage · logs · monitoring
Weeks 5–6
DevOps and Kubernetes
Infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, containers and a practical Kubernetes on Amazon EKS workshop.
Terraform · CI/CD · containers · Kubernetes/EKS
Weeks 7–10
Conversational and Agentic AI
Two Amazon Connect Customer workshops, then Agentic CX Designer: real customer-experience flows with integrations, guardrails and escalation.
Amazon Connect Customer · AWS Lambda · Agentic CX Designer
Weeks 11–14
Capstone and career proof
Hardening, then a capstone from a business requirement: architecture review, build, final demo and oral defense.
Architecture · build · defense · portfolio
Week by week
Every major topic ends with evidence, peer review and a personalised defense. Exact workshop titles are confirmed for each cohort.

- Your demo video
- Week 1Python, Git and AI toolsPython basics, terminal, Git and pull requests, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and Claude Code, recognising AI loops, and a small AI-assisted build you can explain.
- Week 2AI-native workflow + AWS mapYour demo video 1: AWS ecosystem explainerRequirement → context → plan → build → review the diff → test → document. Agents, tools, rules and subagents; HTTP and JSON; the AWS ecosystem walkthrough.
- Week 3AWS workshop 1Cloud and application foundations: guided build, a changed requirement, real or injected failures, peer review and a six-question defense.
- Week 4AWS workshop 2Your demo video 2: cloud and serverless build (this week or after week 6)Integration and serverless depth: IAM, Lambda, APIs, storage, events, logging and monitoring, with a troubleshooting challenge.
- Week 5DevOps, Terraform and CI/CDTerraform basics and state, Git-based delivery, CI/CD, diagnosing a broken pipeline, secrets, least privilege and rollback.
- Week 6Containers + KubernetesImages, pods, deployments and services, scaling and rolling updates; deploy a workload, break it, diagnose it, explain it.
- Week 7Amazon Connect Customer workshop 1A guided enterprise conversational build: contact flows, Lambda and API integrations, logs and common errors.
- Week 8Connect: extend + reviewA changed business requirement, rebuild without step-by-step instructions, a troubleshooting clinic and a production review.
- Week 9Amazon Connect Customer workshop 2Deeper integration and AI, then compare two Connect solutions and the trade-offs between them.
- Week 10Agentic CX DesignerYour demo video 3: agentic CX flowAgentic versus deterministic control, integrations, guardrails, testing and escalation, with a variation per squad.
- Week 11Hardening (or Bedrock)Security, secrets, logs, monitoring, testing, failure handling and cost. An optional Amazon Bedrock workshop runs only if the cohort is on track.
- Week 12Capstone: architectureA business requirement, stakeholder questions, architecture and data flow, security and monitoring plans, and an architect design review.
- Week 13Capstone: buildIncremental build with individual accountability, pull requests, peer review, real-time troubleshooting and deployment.
- Week 14Capstone: defend + career proofYour demo video 4: capstoneProduction-readiness review, final demo and oral defense, public portfolio export, résumé and LinkedIn evidence, a mock technical interview and a college submission package.
What it covers, and what it deliberately doesn’t
- Python foundations
- Enough to read and reason about code, work with JSON and APIs, and change simple programs.
- Git and GitHub
- Branches, commits, pull requests, reviews and checks as everyday working habits.
- AI engineering tools
- ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and Claude Code: context, planning, verification and loop control.
- AWS
- The ecosystem, then hands-on workshops with IAM, Lambda, APIs, storage, logs and monitoring.
- DevOps and IaC
- Terraform, CI/CD, automated validation and deployment, secrets and rollback.
- Containers and Kubernetes
- Microservices concepts and one practical Kubernetes on Amazon EKS workshop.
- Conversational AI
- Two Amazon Connect Customer workshops: flows, integrations, troubleshooting and production context.
- Agentic CX
- Agentic CX Designer: agentic and deterministic design, guardrails, testing and escalation.
- Production engineering
- Security, secrets, monitoring, testing, failure handling, scale and cost, at the right depth for each stage.
What you’ll be able to do when you graduate
The goal is an AI-native junior engineer who can learn unfamiliar systems, build, debug, deploy, review and explain with supervision. Not an expert in every tool, and employers will still onboard you their way.
- Learn unfamiliar tech fastUse trusted material and AI to get to working understanding quickly.
- Read and change codeFollow execution paths, make controlled changes and verify them.
- Engineer with AIGive context, plan, inspect diffs, catch weak suggestions, stop loops.
- Build on AWSBuild and debug AWS solutions and explain each service’s role and failure modes.
- Ship with DevOpsGit-based delivery, Terraform and CI/CD.
- Run containersOperate a simple Kubernetes/EKS workload at a practical level.
- Build conversational AIAmazon Connect Customer implementations and their integrations and trade-offs.
- Design agentic CXAn agentic flow, knowing where deterministic control is required.
- TroubleshootLogs, hypotheses, root cause versus symptom, verified fixes.
- Work in a teamRotating roles, real peer reviews, precise status and blockers.
- Explain your workArchitecture, decisions, failures and fixes, spoken and written.
- Show your proofPublic repositories, videos and evidence that back your résumé.
